Article I: Name
This club shall be known as the Internations Club of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.

Article II: Purpose
The purpose of the club shall be to develop and maintain a cordial relationship between international, non-international students and the Slippery Rock University community, as well as to carry out international programs that not only entertain but also enlighten and educate the American community about foreign cultures. The club shall strive to protect the interests of all its members.

Article III: Officers
The officers of this organization shall be a president, vice-president, secretary, public relations officer, activity coordinator and treasurer.

  • Section I: In order to hold office, a member must have attended at least three scheduled meetings a semester or have actively participated in some previous club event.


Article IV: Structure

  • The Internations Club has a faculty advisor to help oversee the running and formation of the club’s activities.

Article V: Elections
Members elect representatives to lead the Internations Club who are titled the executive board. The executive board is elected each year in the Fall semester to be effective the following Spring semester. The executive board positions are volunteer, with no special rights or privileges.

Article VI: Meetings
The Internations Club meets once overy other week on an agreed time and day to discuss organization happenings and current activities or as demand necessary by the president. At least 10 members, including the officers, has to be present for a meeting to take place.

Article VII: Committees
The president makes a decision to form committees when necessary. However, officers may make recommendations to the president to form committees. To form committees, members are asked by the president or presiding officer to volunteer.


Article VIII: Decisions
Decisions regarding normal club activities are made by a general consensus of opinions by membership. In the event of a stalemate, the president or presiding officer makes a final decision.
