Application for the President's International Professional Development Grant

SPOTLIGHT

PRESIDENT’S INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANT
International Services Office
Slippery Rock University
2012 Request for Proposals

The President's International Development Grant provides financial support for the professional development of SRU faculty and professional staff in an international setting.  Awards come from an endowed fund, and the number of awards per year are dependent upon the rate of return.  Eligibility, criteria, requirements, and the application form are available by clicking the link below.

Please note two changes for 2012:

  • First, faculty cannot receive this grant to support activities while they are on sabbatical. While this has been in effect in previous years, it was never noted on the application materials.
  • Second, the requirement that students receive a clear benefit as a result of their involvement in your professional development activity, has been changed to a preference. All applicants, but especially those whose traditional form of professional development does not benefit students, are highly encouraged to consider new options to do so.
