 On-site Borrowing from Other Universities

On-site Borrowing from Other Universities

Because of reciprocal agreements made through the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium (PALCI), SRU faculty have access to borrowing privileges when visiting other member universities. This cooperative borrowing program is available at various Pennsylvania institutions of higher education including Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University,  and Hillman Library at the University of Pittsburgh.

Faculty members who wish to participate must present a Direct Faculty Borrowing Authorization form and valid ID at the lending library’s circulation desk. Forms are available at the Reference Desk in Bailey Library or from library department liaisons. This program provides only on-site borrowing privileges; it does not include Internet access to proprietary databases. All borrowing policies are established by the lending library, and participants must agree to abide by them. Borrowed material may either be returned directly to the lending library or through Interlibrary Loan at Bailey Library.

For further information about the project please contact Lynn Hoffmann, Reference and Access Services Librarian (738-2666) or your library department liaison. A list of participating libraries and their policies is available online at:
