The annual Celebration of Giving event held on Saturday December 3, 2011, honored 160 donors who belong to Slippery Rock University Giving Clubs. Twelve attendees were awarded new Lifetime Giving Pins in recognition of their generosity to Slippery Rock University. The event included a spectacular hors d'oeuvre reception and dinner, and was made even more special by a lovely Night-in-Paris themed dessert reception.
The evening's entertainment was provided by talented students from SRU's performing arts departments and included live music, dance, theatre, and vocal performances that culminated with a surprise flash mob song and dance performed by over 50 students. In closing, President Smith provided an overview of recent successes and progress at the University that generous donor support and involvement make possible.
