Public Art in Urban Spaces

Fred Evans is Professor of Philosophy and Coordinator of the Center for Interpretive and Qualitative Research at Duquesne University. He is the author, most recently, of Public Art and the Fragility of Democracy: An Essay in Political Aesthetics (Columbia University Press, 2019) and The Multivoiced Body: Society and Communication in the Age of Diversity (Columbia University Press, 2009). He has authored and edited two other book, as well as numerous articles and book chapters on issues concerning psychology, politics, and technology. Evans is also currently working on a book addressing cosmopolitanism, or global community.
