Warren Davidson Faculty Recital

Dr. Davidson plays both violin and viola (though not at the same time) in music from the Baroque era through the 20th century. Of particular note (pun intended) are works Marin Marais (1656-1728) and Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979). The centerpiece of the recital is the Sonata for Viola and Piano written in 1824 by the 15-year-old Felix Mendelssohn – especially appropriate since the pianist in this concert will be the 16-year-old Rowan Belt!
