Hip-hop artist Fetty Wap to take SRU stage April 11

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Hip-Hop artist Fetty Wap will perform April 11 at Slippery Rock University's Aebersold Student Recreation Center, with special guest Hardo.

SRU's University Program Board booked Wap, who will be making the stop as part of his "Welcome to the Zoo" tour.

Wap, who was born Willie Maxwell II, rose to prominence with his breakout single, "Trap Queen," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2015. He has subsequently scored a number of Top 40 hits, including: "679," "My Way" and "Again."

Wap's debut album was released in September 2015 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Tickets, $33 for SRU students, are limited to two tickets per valid SRU ID and are available at the Smith Student Center information desk. Tickets for the general public, if available, will be $48 and will be released for sale March 3.

All ticket holders are required to present a valid form of photo identification upon entrance to the venue and must be 16 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Hardo, a Pittsburgh rapper, will start the show at 7:30 p.m.

University Program Board is a student-run organization that schedules concerts and other entertainment offerings on campus.
