SRU’s RN to BSN program ranked among PA’s most affordable

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - CollegeChoice.net has ranked Slippery Rock University's RN to BSN nursing program among the most affordable in Pennsylvania.

Nursing is one of the fastest growing fields for job growth in the U.S. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates a 16 percent job increase between 2014 and 2024 for registered nurses.

According to BLS data, Pennsylvania ranks fifth in the country in the number of employed registered nurses with more than 136,000. California ranks first with more than 255,000. However, Pennsylvania employs more nurses per thousand jobs than the top four states - California, Texas, New York and Florida - for employed RNs.
