SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Sandy Busch, graphic communication director, and Aaron Moore, digital design director, in SRU's Office of Communication and Public Affairs, won four CUPPIE Awards presented by CUPRAP, the creative excellence in marketing and communications organization, as part of its annual awards competition March 10 in Hershey.

Busch, now in her 15th year in the department, created and art directed a trio of award-winning entries.

She won a Silver Award for her "We've Got Your Number" in-house print ad and a pair of Bronze Awards for her "19th Hole" in-house postcard and "WWI Propaganda" in-house poster.

"It's an honor anytime you're recognized for your work, especially when it comes from your peers," said Busch. "Working at SRU provides my student workers and me an opportunity to tackle many different subject matters from just as many, if not more, disciplines. We wouldn't have it any other way."

Moore, who has been with the University for six years, brought home a Silver Award for his "Homecoming invitation" in-house postcard.

All four awards were in the Print-Posters Category.

"I'm humbled by the honor," said Moore. "There are a lot of talented people that put up incredible work every year. To have your work singled out makes you take a step back. It's very special."

More than 380 entries were received this year in 35 categories from colleges, universities and providers of private, specialized and secondary education in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland and Wisconsin.

CUPRAP is dedicated to advancing the understanding of higher education and enhancing the professional development of its members.
