SRU’s online master’s degree in criminal justice earns national ranking

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's online master's degree in criminal justice has been ranked among the top 45 programs in the country by affordablecollegesonline.org.

"It is necessary to celebrate the most cost effective and successful online criminal justice programs in the nation," said Dan Schuessler, CEO and founder of affordablecollegesonline.org. "Without them, people who cannot operate under traditional college programs would be stripped of their ability to help protect and spread peace across our nation."

Institutions were evaluated based on the following:

  • Count of online master's degrees available
  • Graduate tuition and fees
  • Academic and career counseling services
  • Job placement for graduates
  • AC Online Peer-Based Value (PBV)*

PBV is a proprietary metric used by affordablecollegesonline.org that compares the cost of a program to the cost of other programs with the same or similar qualitative score. It also compares the qualitative score of the program to the score of other programs with the same or similar cost.
