SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's council of trustees will meet June 9-10. Committee meetings will be in Room 103 of the Harrisville Building, 230 W. Prairie St., Harrisville, June 9 and Room 320 of the Smith Student Center June 10. The quarterly business meeting will take place at noon, June 10 in Room 321 of the Smith Student Center. All meetings are open to all students, faculty, staff and community members who would like to attend.

Agenda items for the June 9 committee meetings include reports from the Academic and Student Affairs Committee, the Finance Committee and the University Advancement Committee.

The Academic and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m. to present an update on the Teacher Certification Basic Skills Test from Keith Dils, dean of the College of Education.

The Finance Committee will meet at 2:15 p.m. to present a review of the audit plan presentation; a review of the Sightlines facility asset management presentation; an update on a proposed energy savings company partnership; a resolution to approve the University's relationship with the newly developed Slippery Rock University Foundation Student Housing LLC; a review of current contracts, fixed assets and service and supply purchase orders; a quarterly financial report; a review of the facilities and planning project list; and review of personnel appointments, which includes instructional, tactical leadership, operational leadership, grant-funded, non-faculty and support staff.

The day will conclude with the University Advancement Committee meeting at 3:45 p.m. to provide an update on recent development and fundraising activities and remarks from the State System's legal counsel on the University's relationship with SRUF Student Housing LLC.

The Governance Committee will meet at 10:45 a.m. June 10 with no action items scheduled.

The Council's quarterly business meeting at noon will call for action to be taken on the approval of the meeting agenda and minutes from the March 17-18 COT meetings; a review of committee reports and of those items forwarded by the committees and the presentation of certificates of commendation to Eva Tsuquiashi-Daddesio, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Robert Marcus, SRU trustee for their years of dedicated service to the University.
