SRU’s GCAC schedules veteran-owned business seminar

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's Government Contracting Assistance Center will present a free seminar, "CVE Verification and Contracting Opportunities for Veteran-Owned Business" at 8:30 a.m., Aug. 3 at VA Butler Healthcare, 325 New Castle Street, Butler.

The seminar will focus on educating veteran-owned businesses on how to become verified, how to do business with the Department of Veterans Affairs and how to connect with various resources and opportunities in the local community.

Presentations will be given on the Center for Verification and Evaluation's verification application process and re-verification requirements; the VA procurement process; and firsthand experiences from a service-disabled veteran-owned business.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet with contractors, local government agencies and other resource partners during a networking session, including:

  • Center for Verification and Evaluation;
  • City of Pittsburgh Equal Opportunity;
