SRU named an in-state ‘best online college’

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has been recognized as a one of the Top 20 best online colleges in Pennsylvania by onlinecollegeplan.com.

Onlinecollegeplan.com ranked each of the schools - all of which provide potential students with the opportunity to enroll in a completely online academic program - on two factors: freshman retention rates and graduation rates.

To gather the information that was required to rank each school, onlinecollegeplan.com used each school's websites whenever possible to obtain the required statistical information. In cases where a school did not directly provide the information needed via its website, onlinecollegeplan.com used information obtained from the databases of U.S. News and World Report and the National Center for Education Statistics. In cases where two or more schools were tied for a spot in the rankings, schools were organized alphabetically.

Onlinecollegeplan.com was created to assist parents and students in learning about all of the options available and how to plan ahead for an online college education.
