SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Amanda Seales, a comedian, host and DJ who is described as "a witty woman working to upgrade the world," will present two programs at Slippery Rock University Sept. 29.

She will present, "Down and Dirty: Dialogue Around Diversity," from 12:30-1:45 p.m., in the Smith Student Center Theatre. At 7 p.m., she will present, "Side Eye Seminar: Identifying, Challenging and Ending Everyday Sexism," in the Smith Student Center Ballroom.

Seales combines intellectual wit, enigmatic silliness and pop culture obsession to create her unique style of smart, funny content, which is intended, she said, "to not just make you laugh, but to make you change."

Along with performing stand up across the country, under her production company, DivaWorks Inc, she has created, written and hosted award winning web series for major platforms like AOL ("The Spark"), ("Funny Style"), Karmaloop ("DivaDiva Ya'll"), and ("DivaSpeak TV"), teamed with brands like Honda, Focus Features, Disney and more to make exclusive content, along with writing, producing and starring in several critically acclaimed one woman shows (Mo Betta Wu: Jazz from the 36 Chambers, It's Complicated, and Death of the Diva).

Seales last visited SRU in March to kick-off Women's History Month. The Women's Center, Gender Studies, Office of Multicultural Development and the President's Commissions on the Status of Women and Race and Ethnic Diversity are sponsoring her visit.
