SRU named a top college for on-campus, part-time student employment

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has been recognized for its paid, on-campus student employment program by the Student Loan Report, an online resource that "aims to cover all student loan news around the world."

This recognition is not related to the Federal Work-Study program. Rather, it is related to schools that offer their own part-time jobs to students looking for work during the semester.

SRU ranked 54th among the more than 500 public colleges and universities that offered part-time jobs to students. The report showcases the number of part-time jobs offered as well as the average compensation to students over the 2015 - 2016 academic year. The data is from Peterson's Financial Aid dataset.
