A group of Budweiser Clydesdales checked in the Storm Harbor Equestrian Center Oct. 10 on a short layover as the team prepared to make its way south on a promotional tour. There are several teams of Clydesdales, which the brewer uses for promotions and commercials. The original team of six was presented to Anheuser-Busch founder August Busch, Sr., April 7, 1933, as a gift from his sons, August Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch III to commemorate the repeal of Prohibition. Realizing the marketing potential of a horse-drawn beer wagon, the company also arranged to have a second six-horse Clydesdale "hitch" sent to New York the same day to mark the event.
