Country artist Hunter Hayes takes SRU stage Oct. 30

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.- Hunter Hayes, a four-time Grammy nominated county artist who has toured with Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift, will perform Oct. 30 in Slippery Rock University's Robert N. Aebersold Student Recreation Center. Ryan Lafferty is special guest.

SRU's University Program Board booked Hayes, who will be making a stop during his nationwide "21 Tour."

Hayes, a Louisiana native, has been nominated for Best New Artist and won the Country Music Association Award for New Artist of the Year in 2012.

He released his self-titled debut album in 2011. It sold more than 1 million copies and produced a hit single, "Wanted." He released "Storyline" in 2014.

Hayes has also produced acclaimed singles like "I Want Crazy", "Invisible," and most recently "21."

Lafferty, a West Virginia native, and Hayes are based in Nashville.

Tickets, $20 for students and $40 for general, are available online at www.srupb.com. Students 18 or older with a valid ID may purchase up to four tickets. The general public can purchase up to 10 tickets.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Ryan Laffery will start the show at 6:30 p.m.

University Program Board is a student-run organization that schedules concerts and other entertainment offerings on campus.
