SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has added a Rich Site Summary (RSS) feed to its website, giving constituents automated updates on news content posted by the Office of University Communication and Public Affairs.

Those who have an RSS reader installed on their Internet browser can subscribe to receive summary headlines of press releases, with the latest releases at the top of an aggregate. Live links connect browsers to the full press release.

RSS removes the need for the user to manually check the news index for new content. Instead, their RSS reader can monitor the feed and inform the user of any updates. The RSS reader can also be commanded to automatically download the new data for the user.

The news RSS feed can be viewed at Look for the circular icon next to "News" or click here.
