SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's council of trustees will meet Dec. 7-8. Committee meetings will take place Dec. 7 in Room 320 of the Smith Student Center. The Governance Committee meeting and the quarterly business meeting will take place at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, Dec. 8 in the Smith Student Center Theatre. All meetings are open to the public.

Agenda items for the Dec. 7 committee meetings include reports from the Academic and Student Affairs Committee, Finance Committee and University Advancement Committee.

The Academic and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m., Dec. 7 to hear from John Rindy, director, career education and development, who will provide updates on a planned survey of SRU graduates and alumni success stories.

The Finance Committee will meet at 2 p.m., Dec. 7 to receive a presentation from David Jacobson of CliftonLarsonAllen regarding the University's financial statement and audit overview; updates on the McKeever Environmental Learning Center; parking; funding for the Performing Arts Center and an update on the University's master plan. The committee also will review contracts, fixed assets and service and supply purchase orders; the quarterly financial report; a review of the facilities and planning project list; personnel appointments; and consider a resolution to approve the reallocation of previously approved bond funds in the approximate amount of $2.5 million from the renovations of Bailey Library, Strain Safety and Spotts World Culture buildings to be used for the Performing Arts Center project.

The University Advancement Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m., Dec. 7 to receive a status report on implementation of the 2016 Dee Jay Oshry report; 2017-18 fundraising plans, goals and status of the University's Athletics Department; a review of advancement and foundation operations; and an overview of alumni engagement by Kelly Bailey, director of alumni engagement.

The Governance Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 8 in the Smith Student Center Theatre to receive an update from SRU's Presidential Search Committee; discuss the quarterly business meeting format; and review the University calendar and COT bylaws.

The Council's quarterly business meeting at 1 p.m. will call for action to be taken on the approval of the meeting agenda and minutes from the Oct. 6 quarterly and Nov. 20 special COT meetings; a review of committee reports and of those items forwarded by the committees for action by the full council.
