SRU dance majors attend regional conference

Nineteen Slippery Rock University dance majors attended the American College Dance Association Mid-Atlantic North Conference hosted by the University of Maryland.

Attendees included:

  • Felice Gross, a freshman from Monroeville;
  • Djenne Boutrin, a junior from Lancaster;
  • Justice Gray, a junior from Lady Lake, Florida;
  • Maddison Manolis, a senior from New Castle;
  • Alison Vitale, a junior from New Castle;
  • Maria Crist, a senior from Lancaster, New York;
  • Taylor Hahn, a senior from Hanover;
  • Emilie Klinger, a junior from Harrisburg;
  • Malena Maust, a senior from Butler;
  • Kaila Belinda, a senior from Philipsburg;
  • Alyssa Bradley, a senior from Pittsburgh;
  • Emmalee Hallinan, a senior from Altoona;
  • Lindsay McGivern, a senior from Allison Park;
  • Monica Traggiai, a senior from Sarver;
  • Madison Yankovich, a senior from Ridgway;
  • Kacei Womack, a senior from Philadelphia;
  • Olivia Nellis, a sophomore from Glenshaw;
  • Chelsey Shaner, a senior from Bellefonte; and
  • Page Demore, a sophomore from Wayne, New Jersey

Two works were adjudicated, including "Crooked Phase" by Hallinan and "Quake" by Teena Marie Custer, instructor of dance. Custer and Ursula Payne, professor of dance, taught master classes in modern, composition and hip-hop at the event.
