Cooklin chosen for NEH Summer Institute

Katie Cooklin, professor of philosophy at Slippery Rock University, has been invited to participate in the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute: Diverse Philosophical Perspectives on Sexual Violence. The Institute will be held at Elon University in North Carolina, June 18-30.

This institute will gather scholars to consider the philosophical questions surrounding the persistent social problem of sexual violence and is organized around five distinct themes: embodiment and vulnerability; consent and its limits; the role of the state; power inequality and justice; and globalism, localism and justice.
