National Drowning Alliance elects Rock grad

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Adam Katchmarchi, a 2012 Slippery Rock University physical education graduate, has been elected vice president of the National Drowning Alliance Prevention. The alliance works to prevent drowning and aquatic injuries.

At SRU, Katchmarchi served as assistant coach of the Aquatics Club.

After graduating, he received a master's degree in sport and fitness from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He works as a teaching assistant and is a doctoral candidate in kinesiology at West Virginia University.
