SRU alumna pens fitness article
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Aubrey Worek-DeStephen, a 2002 graduate who earned her bachelor of science in exercise science with a minor in dance and gerontology, recently published an article, "Beware of Food Kryptonite" on MAX Sports and Fitness.
The article deals with helping readers avoid foods that she describes as their, "drug of choice."
"I have been coaching people for more than 10 years on how to eat healthier and more instinctively. I work with people to help them view food as a fuel source and not as a drug," Worek-DeStephen writes.
"It takes time and perseverance to change. And, some people change faster than others," she wrote. One of the tricks she notes is that one has to make up their mind to change without obsessing about the change. "You have to have fun with it."
