Samec represents U.S. at Triathlon World Championships

Timothy Samec, a Slippery Rock University physics major and triathlete from Drums, represented the U.S. as a member of Team USA at the 2016 International Triathlon Union World Championships in Cozumel, Mexico.

Samec competed in the Draft-Legal Sprint Distance Triathlon in the 20-24 years of age group. The ITU World Championship Grand Finale in Cozumel, Mexico is the crowning race for international triathletes outside of the Olympic Games.

This year marked the second straight year in which Samec has represented the U.S. at the ITU World Championship.
