McCorkle appointed manager of Parker Dam State Park

James McCorkle, a 2007 Slippery Rock University graduate with a bachelor's degree in park and resource management, has been appointed manager of Parker Dam State Park by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. 

McCorkle will oversee the 968-acre park in Clearfield County that features picturesque forests, swamp meadows, pine plantations, mixed hardwoods and a scenic lake in the heart of Moshannon State Forest. 

McCorkle has worked with the Bureau of State Parks since 2007, most recently as assistant park manager at Laurel Hill State Park Complex, Somerset County.
