Yamamoto certified as an oral proficiency tester of Japanese

Junko Yamamoto, Slippery Rock University associate professor of secondary education/foundations of education, has been certified as an oral proficiency tester of Japanese by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language.
A certified ACTFL tester assesses language learners' ability to speak based on ACTFL's proficiency guidelines through a 30-minute, one-on-one interview between the tester and an examinee.
The ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 12,500 language educators and administrators that is dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction.
