Nelson named to post at University of Arkansas

Erica Nelson, a 2004 Slippery Rock University graduate with a master's degree in sport management, has been named director of student-athlete development at the University of Arkansas.
In her role, Nelson will implement and conduct life skills programming for student-athletes, serve as an adviser for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, direct the student-athlete drug testing program and serve on the athletic department's Performance Team. Nelson was previously director of life skills and community outreach for the University of South Carolina Athletic Department.
Nelson earned a bachelor's degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, before coming to SRU where she was a graduate assistant coach for the SRU's women's basketball team.
