Oct. 12, 2017
Yvonne Eaton-Stull, Slippery Rock University assistant professor of public health and social work, presented research with two of her students at the National Association of Social Workers, Pennsylvania Chapter, annual conference, in Pocono Manor. Presenting with Eaton-Stull were social work majors, Maura Vulakovich, a junior from Imperial, and Leah Rousso, a junior from Springfield, New Jersey.
Their presentation, "Labracadabra: The Magic of Therapy Dogs in Social Work Practice," was selected from more than 130 proposals, a record for the conference. Also assisting during the presentation was Lisa Marino, a sophomore social work major from Volant, and Spumoni, an animal-assisted crisis response dog from SRU's Health Promotion Peer Educators program.
