SRU criminology students, faculty to present in New Orleans

A pair of Slippery Rock University criminology and security studies majors will join Sarah Kuehn, assistant professor of criminology and security studies, and Youngyol Schanz, associate professor of criminology and security studies, in making presentations at the American Society of Criminology annual meeting in New Orleans.

Ksenia Ochap, a senior from Irwin, will pair with Kuehn in presenting the paper, "Public Perception of Parolees and Their Likelihood to Deceive Others;" while Dustin Mellot, a senior from Slippery Rock, will present a poster entitled "Do Mandatory Offender Treatment Programs Reduce Recidivism Rates?"

Xin Jiang, an assistant professor of criminology and security studies, and Patrick Harvey, an associate professor of criminology and security studies, will also present.
