’98 graduate earns 40 Under 40 Award


SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Carrie Rowe, a 1998 education graduate, has received a 40 Under 40 Award from Pittsburgh Magazine. Rowe is assistant superintendent for the Beaver Area School District.

Rowe, who earned her doctorate in administrative and policy studies from the University of Pittsburgh, worked for the Pittsburgh Public Schools and taught Spanish at the Creative and Performing Arts School and Westinghouse High School before joining the Beaver Area School District. 

Each year, Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP sponsor the 40 Under 40 Program to recognize 40 people under 40 years of age who show commitment to shaping the region.
