SRU's Mistretta presents at education conference

Molly Mistretta, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of counseling and development, attended and presented at the 20th Annual Fall for Education Conference at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Nov. 4-5.
Mistretta partnered with Alison Dubois, associate professor of education and counseling at Westminster College, to discuss diagnostic criteria for burnout and compassion fatigue of education professionals. Their presentation, titled "When Caring Hurts," was one of many surrounding the conference's theme, "Mental Health and Trauma in PK-12," during the two-day event attended by pre-service teachers, graduate students, professional educators, school psychologists and administrators.
