Dec. 8, 2016
Kim Smith, Slippery Rock University associate professor of exercise and rehabilitative sciences, has received a $1,500 grant from the Pennsylvania Faculty Health and Welfare Fund to research the effectiveness of SRU's "Walk the Rock" program.
"Walk the Rock" is a pedometer-based, walking program designed to help members of the campus community increase physical activity. Smith heads the program.
The study will center on how well participants adhered to the program and what impact it had on their commitment to physical activity.
