GHOSTS OF HALLOWEEN PAST TO HAUNT BUTLER COUNTY’S OLD STONE HOUSE

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Ghost story tours of Butler County’s most recognized landmarks – The Old Stone House – are planned for 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 28-29 in a project organized by the Slippery Rock University’s history department.

The Old Stone House is owned and operated by SRU. The family-oriented tour is free, but donations will be accepted.

Every room in the house will offer a different tale – with the haunting tour to start on the front porch. The stories will be presented by SRU students, staff and local community members.

The house is located in northern Butler County at the intersection of routes 8, 528 and 173, 12 miles north of Butler.

WISR in Butler will broadcast live from the facility on opening night.
