  • By taking these career inventories, explore career areas that are suggested by analyzing your responses.
  • Use is limited to SRU students and graduates. If you are a Rock student or alumnus, contact Career Services to receive your login ID and instructions.
  • After your inventories, meet with a career counselor to discuss your results.

Career Development eManual

  • Provided by the University of Waterloo, this site includes 6 assessment tools related to interests, personality, skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurism. In addition, the site delineates and discusses 6 steps in the career development process: self assessment, research, decision making, networks and contacts, work, and lifework planning.

Education Planner

  • This site by American Education Services allows you to take a career assessment inventory and to explore career choices. Other features involve study skills, graduate school searches, and scholarship information.

Humanmetrics
  • Provides a variety of personality inventories for you to discover/confirm your individual preferences.  The free Jung Typology Test provides results based on the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory.

  • Provided by the U.S. Department of Labor, this comprehensive site provides accurate career information about the countless occupations.

  • This site contains the same informative articles, data, and career tips based on information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and U.S. Department of Labor.

Occupational Projections
  • This site contains state and national occupational trends and employment growth. Using information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the site displays projections through 2016.

O*Net Online
  • An interactive web site which assists you in accessing detailed job descriptions and matching your skills to occupations.

True Careers
  • Create an account to search professions, salaries, planning careers, and companies and industries. The companies and industries database allows you to find information about hi-tech, government, health care, and education careers.

  • UniXL provides students, the general public and businesses with education and career related resources.
