work history. By providing examples of how you handled previous
experiences, the employer learns how you handle yourself in
different situations. Be prepared for at least a few of these types
of questions in every interview.

- Coworker Interview

- The coworkers usually know the job better than the manager.
Many times they have insight as to whether or not the interviewee
has the specific skills necessary to perform the job.
- Prescreening Interview

- Screening process by telephone, internet questionnaire, or in
person.
- First/Basic Interview

- A one-on-one interview with the interviewer and interviewee
focusing on skills, or a blend of both skills and organizational
fit.
- Group Interview

- More than one person may be conducting the interview. The
hiring manager, department head, or human resources personnel may
be involved.
- Power Lunch Interview

- Used typically for customer service or sales positions to
evaluate to candidate's social etiquette and people skills.
- Second or Third
Interviews

- These may be used as tie breakers and you may be interviewing
with other key individuals in the organization. Tentative job
offers are sometimes made with stipulations.
