American Association for Clinical Chemistry

• AACC is an international scientific/medical society of clinical laboratory professionals, physicians, research scientists and other individuals involved with clinical chemistry and other clinical laboratory science-related disciplines. Founded in 1948, the society has 10,000 members and is headquartered in Washington, DC. AACC is subdivided geographically into 22 local sections. It is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, responsible for managing operations and resources, and by a House of Delegates, responsible for planning, proposing policy and indicating priorities. A staff of 50 manages the Association's Washington, DC office.
