created to coordinate SRU's student related annual activities.
These activities consist of Homecoming Events and The Week of
Welcome (WOW). This committee also sponsors events such as SRU

provide students with a variety of weekend events. These activities

Lecture
Committee: Our lectures address important
issues in our society and pop culture themes. They allow for
exploration in a variety of areas from politics to entertainment.

Arts and
Entertainment Committee: Musicals, Murder Mystery Dinners,
Dance Troupes, Hypnotists, Theater Productions and Musicians are a
few of the events that have visited SRU. This committee provides
the opportunity to explore the world of the arts and entertainment.

Major Events
Committee: The best in local and national
talent are brought to campus by the Major Events Committee. Some of
the bands that have played at SRU include Trace Adkins, Ludacris,
Filter, Goo Goo Dolls, Naughty by Nature, Rusted Root, The Poverty
Neck Hillbillies, Busta Rhymes, Flickerstick, L.L.Cool J, and the
Clarks. We have also featured nationally known comedians such as
Jimmy Fallon, Dave Chappelle, Mitch Hedberg and Jim Breuer.

Public
Relations Committee: This committee assists each of the
other committees in the promotion, distribution and marketing of
all UPB events. The SRU Campus Community is informed of events on
campus through Newspaper Ads, Brochures, the SRU Website and other

Cultural Diversity Committee: This committee
produces events that promote cultural diversity within the campus
community. The committee works with theme months and co-sponsors
with other departments and organizations to bring a wide variety of
