The regional media is reminded that the Butler
County Chapter of Special Olympics will hold its Western Fall
Sectional from 9 a.m. to
4 p.m. Sunday [Oct. 9] at Slippery Rock University,
offering opportunities for feature stories and photos.
An expected 500 athletes from Butler and
surrounding counties will gather at 9:15 am. in Morrow Field House
for the opening ceremony then spend the remainder of the day
competing in five sport events.
More than 400 SRU student volunteers will be on
hand to help with implementing the games.
