The PAHRP, in collaboration with the Negro Educational Emergency Drive (NEED), is seeking scholarship applications from African-American students who are:

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university in Pennsylvania
• Entering their junior year of college
• Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
• Have an interest in pursuing a career in the Human Resources field as shown through past activities or demonstrated leadership ability.

Scholarships will be awarded in January 2006 and August 2006.

Applicants must submit a two or three page, double spaced, type-written essay regarding the following question:  What is your personal philosophy regarding your career goals and how do you plan to contribute to the Human Resources profession in the future?

Applicants must submit an official college transcript with their application.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  A completed application, essay and official transcript must be postmarked by October 31, 2005 and submitted to:
