Passports are required for most
international travel, and will soon be mandatory for all
countries.
The following identifies the
implementation dates:
* December 31, 2006:
Passports will be required for all
air and sea travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South
America, the Caribbean and Bermuda.
* December 31, 2007:
Passports will be required for all
land border crossings as well as air and sea travel. In reality,
effective December 31, 2007 a passport will be required for all
travel to/from the US.
Therefore, if you do not have a
passport, you should obtain one to participate in an SRU
international program.
