Association deals with the improvement of the educational system by
promoting a research and inquiry approach to teaching. It is
the largest international organization that is concerned with
applying research to daily classroom activity.
The Holmes
Partnership
The Holmes Partnership consists of
universities, public school districts, and both local and national
teacher associations. It focuses on reforming the educational
process in the United States, from improvements in the classroom to
the professional development of teachers and teacher
candidates.
The National Association of Professional
Development Schools
The National Association of
Professional Development Schools (NAPDS) stands as an advocate of
Professional Development Networks across the United States.
Its main goal is to support the development of the
collaboration of university/school/community
relationship.
National Network for Educational
Renewal
The National Network for
Educational Renewal dedicates its time to helping institutions and
schools that help prepare teachers for the classroom. They
want to provide quality educational experiences for teachers so
they they can in turn better prepare their students for the
future.
NCATE
NCATE sets the standards for
teacher quality education. Its main focus is to improve
teacher quality to ensure that all children receive the best
education possible. NCATE standards for Professional Development
Schools were endorsed by the Unit Accreditation Board, Standards
Committee, March 2001.
