Strategic
Plan
Within the next 3-5 years, it is envisioned that the Center for
Accomplished Teaching will pursue the following:
•
Candidate support (three 3-credit graduate courses/workshops)
(Teaching)
o
4 candidates during the 2004-2005 Academic Year
o
8 candidates during the2005 – 2006 Academic Year
o
16 candidates during the 2006-2007 Academic Year
o
24 candidates during the 2007-2008 Academic Year
o
32 Candidates during the 2008-2009 Academic Year
•
Research and Evaluation (Scholarship)
o
The Center will provide research and evaluation for local, state,
and federal studies. This may occur through subcontracting or
directly pursuing and attaining grants
o
The Center will research and evaluate its own work at all times
o
The Center will publish and present professionally at the local,
state, and national levels
•
Curricular work with the K-16 Community
o
The Center will collaborate with P-12 school districts, colleges,
and universities as requested to build awareness of National Board
Certification
o
The
Center will collaborate with P-12 school districts, colleges, and
universities as requested to assist in integrating the Core
Propositions and National Board Standards into curricula.
Support for these ventures could include any of the
following:
• Administrative
presence at celebratory and public relations functions
• Secretarial/graduate
assistant support
• In-kind
support through materials, printing, supplies, etc.
• Financial
support for presentations (at school districts/universities and at
professional conferences)
