EDITOR’S ADVISORY                                    May 12, 2006

Due to expected inclement weather for Saturday [May 13], Slippery Rock University will hold its spring commencement exercises indoors. The 11 a.m. Saturday ceremony will see more than 1,050 diplomas, including 42 doctor of physical therapy degrees, presented in Morrow Field House.

A ticket is required for admission and each graduating senior has been issued three guest tickets. No additional tickets are available. Additional seating for a live, video-feed is available for guests in the Robert N. Aebersold Student Recreation Center. A reception for guests and graduates will follow in the University Union.

Mary Del Brady, a 1972 SRU graduate and entrepreneur whose 30 years of professional experience include the founding and ownership of several companies in the services and biotechnology industries and who was recently honored by Pittsburgh’s technology community, will be the speaker. Dr. Robert Smith, university president, will preside.
