ALL TICKETS FOR TUESDAY’S ARMY JAZZ
AMBASSADORS CONCERT DISTRIBUTED
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.
– The supply of tickets to the June 27 performance by the
U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors in Miller Auditorium on the Slippery
Rock University campus has been exhausted; however, it is
anticipated a limited number of last-minute seats will become
available just before the 7 p.m. curtain.
No further mail
orders for tickets are being accepted.
“Like last
year, this is a case in which we are very pleased to have
‘sold out’ the free tickets for a very exciting
concert,” explains Deborah Baker, manager of university
events, “but at the same time, we know some people who
received tickets will be unable to use them at the last minute.
Because of that, we have asked ticketholders to be in their seats
by 6:50 p.m. for the 7 p.m. concert, and we will make any unclaimed
seats available to those who walk up.” Doors open at 6:30
p.m.
The 19-member band,
under direction of U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Kevin Laird,
will offer patriotic, big band, swing, contemporary jazz and
Dixieland selections.
