SafeZone___________________________

The SafeZone symbol is a message to all gay, lesbian, bisexual, questioning and transgendered students and colleagues. The message is that a person displaying this symbol is one who will be understanding, supportive and trustworthy if a gay, lesbian, bisexual, questioning and transgendered student needs help, advice or just someone with whom she/he can talk.

The staff of the Slippery Rock University Counseling Center have been SafeZone trained and welcome students of all sexual and gender orientations.

Other LGBTQ Resources and Initiatives on Campus:

Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Trangendered and Allies (LGBTA) A student organization open to all LGBT students and those who support them.
The President's Commission on LGBT Issues A commission focused on increasing campus knowledge of LGBT issues that impact the university and students.
OUT Spoken OUT Spoken is a group of trained peer mentors who are available to talk with individual peer students at SRU  regarding sexual orientation, gender identity and LGBTQ college student transitions.
