Slippery Rock University
fraternity helps Grove City boy
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.
– Members of Slippery Rock University's Pi Kappa Alpha
fraternity recently staged a "PittsBurgh All-Stars Rap and Hip Hop
Concert" to raise funds to support three-year-old Jordan Jack.
Jordan suffers from Griscelli Syndrome, a life-threatening illness.
The event raised $1,300.

Ed Watton, a health and physical education major from Pittsburgh
and Pi Kappa Alpha vice president; Brenton Tony, a health an
physical education major from Dunbar and fraternity president; Josh
Schroyer, an undeclared major from Connellsville; Brian Sullivan, a
safety and environmental management major from Pittsburgh; Alex
Miranda, an undeclared major from Pottsville; Steve Miller, a
health and physical education major from Erie, and Seth Nicholson,
an elementary education, early childhood major from Leisenring and
fraternity treasurer.
Jordan is the
son of Jason (1995 SRU graduate) and Monica Jack, of Grove City.
"This was an excellent opportunity for the Phi Kappa Alpha brothers
to utilize their skills and organization to benefit a member of the
SRU extended family," said John Bonando, assistant vice president
for student life and adviser to the fraternity.
