SRU’S Old Stone House hosts living history encampment

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Civil War will come alive as a living history encampment, complete with battle skirmishes, demonstrations and tours of the Old Stone House April 28-29.

           The Old Stone House, one of Butler County’s most recognized landmarks, is owned and managed by Slippery Rock University. It is located at the intersection of routes 8, 173 and 528, 12 miles north of Butler.

           The encampment will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., both days. There is no admission charge, but donations will be accepted. Food vendors will be on hand.
