Because the university is a public institution, buildings are accessible during the normal "work hours."  The administrative buildings are locked at the close of the work day and can only be opened with assigned keys or by a university police escort.  Individual offices within the building are locked at the close of the work day.  Buildings with offices have entrance doors opened 8:00 a.m - 4:30 p.m.,  Monday thru Friday.  Classroom buildings are locked by midnight and are patrolled throughout the night and during weekends.
