Members of the Slippery Rock University community have developed a set of expectations for student behavior. 

These expectations are contained in the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct outlines the rights and 

responsibilities of all students, and it provides a fair process to evaluate and respond to allegations of misconduct. 

All students should READ and be familiar with the expectations set forth in the Code of Conduct.

 

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:


E-MAIL MESSAGES SENT FROM THE OFFICE OF JUDICIAL PROGRAMS TO STUDENTS THROUGH UNIVERSITY-ASSIGNED E-MAIL ADDRESSES WILL CONSTITUTE AN OFFICIAL MEANS OF COMMUNICATION. ALL CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING JUDICIAL INCIDENTS WILL BE COMMUNICATED THROUGH THE STUDENT'S SRU E-MAIL ADDRESS. CORRESPONDENCE INVOLVING JUDICIAL INCIDENTS MAY ALSO COME FROM THE OFFICE OF RESIDENCE LIFE. IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY AND OBLIGATION TO ACCESS AND RESPOND TO OFFICIAL UNIVERSITY E-MAIL CORRESPONDENCE.

MISSION AND GOALS

The Mission of the Office of Judicial Programs is to address violations of the University's Code of Conduct through an established educational process. The process is designed to enhance the development of students through facilitating student learning, accountability, ethical growth, and civic responsibility. The office aspires to support a safe and inclusive environment that promotes scholarly integrity and student success.

GOALS OF THE CONDUCT PROCESS:

  • To develop, distribute and interpret, campus conduct policies
  • To enforce community standards consistently and equitably
  • To educate students about appropriate behavior and community membership
  • To provide educational civic leadership opportunities for students who take part in the hearing board procedures
  • To provide programs and activities that foster student's intellectual, ethical and cultural development
