Slippery Rock University had the privilege of meeting two high school football coaches, Bill Yoast and Herman Boone.  The two coaches, one white and one African American were forced to work together in the real life story that became "Remember the Titans" a blockbuster movie directed by Denzel Washington.   

Coach Yoast and Boone agreed that they didn’t want to be assigned to work with each other, however, they both had a strong desire to win.  The football team comprised of black and white athletes came together and helped the town of Alexandria to overcome racial indifferences.
